The insightful quote above which for me addresses this question. This can be held to be true in a medical sense, as in the power of belief, the placebo effect as an example, but most especially in a Metaphysical sense. Medicine deals with the quantitative, recordable, and obvious. Metaphysics relates to the more sensate and conscious, at times latent aspects of each. These are of course interconnected as are all aspects of life for it is our attitude which creates our reality.

Diagnosis is the discovery and identification by process of elimination and procedures, of the nature of basically anything existant. In a medical sense this is; that by observing symptoms, and from the results of various diagnostic procedures, that a condition or conditions which are or are not present can be used to determine an illness. But also intuition plays a part. “When you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras” 2.

Prognosis from the Greek progignõskein, means literally fore-knowing, foreseeing. This in a general sense is a medical term denoting a doctor’s prediction of how a disease will progress, and whether there is a chance of recovery. This can seem to be an untenable situation with the inescapable prognostication of medical professionals.

Is it that the natural course and progression of a disease is immutable without the medical intervention? I think not. The totality of our consciousness, has paramount effect in the causation of reality. Of course this does not mean we are to ignore medical diagnosis, for such is also part of Spirit and as such, a means to healing. In a Metaphysical sense, in actuality there is nothing to be eliminated. Everything existant is present in reality at all times. All of the infinite multiverse is woven and intermingled with the One, of Source, of Love. Nothing exists in singularity excepting our egoic perceived separateness, everything interare, “I am, therefore you are. You are, therefore I am. That is the meaning of the word ‘interbeing.’ We interare.” 3 This is pointing toward a consideration of dependent origination, but for me speaks to the unique oneness of all of reality, the completeness of our intermingle with each other, all existant, the totality of Goddess/God.

Many perceptual and spiritual traditions believe that the mind completely controls the body as we reside in a universe of pure Source ruled by the Law of Cause and Effect. The only diagnosis and/or prognosis is that universal unity with perfect health is always constant at all quantum, micro and macro levels. Perfection and wholeness is the existant reality. In the presence of trauma or disease, we often bring in transcendence for possible explanation, which escapes the simply medical opinion. By moving beyond an erroneous conscious perception of mind, that one is imperfect, healing on an complete level can occur through the power of mind and prayer. Recognition and eradication of especially these hidden beliefs is important as one cause of disease is by inner emotional states. This can divert one into self destructive, addictive and unhealthy behavior in the first place. By realizing and releasing completely these closely clenched thoughts about ourselves, we can activate a complete and total cure and healing. We are a cocreator of our reality both in the tenor of our conscious and subconscious thoughts, and in our actions. Faith and our view of the world will determine the progression, along with actuality of the condition. For having faith is again interconnected with reality, and has an active effect consistently in the manifestation of such.

In the highest sense, we are one with the Divine and completely perfect. The progression of a disease is also so. The pathway of life can have many twists and turns. Often the attempt is to change the natural law to fit our definition of life instead of changing the definition of life to fit the law of nature (birth, sickness, and death as the inevitable). We can only remove the effects caused by our own minds as best we can. Spiritual practise is an avenue to the clearing of the mind, toward the end result of complete awakening. It seems to me that each and every aspect of life is a learning process. Challenges are the pumice which polish the soul. Faith and belief in something evermore wondrous to unfold, with rapt consciousness and an open heart for me is the key to this awakening of the God/Goddess consciousness within each of us. The question is, when this consciousness is awakened within us, will the law of nature be changed to fit our definition of life as opposed to the strict medical diagnosis/ prognosis? Yes, it will, if fully believed and affirmed. This is the belief of our tradition, that which I also hold to be the truth of reality. To the best of my ability I try to follow and aspire to fully embody the knowledge and truth.
Quote: 1- Albert Camus 2- Dr. Theodore Woodward 3- Thich Nhat HahnChristopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-15978974819485581762008-05-06T19:46:00.000-07:002008-05-06T19:47:28.429-07:00lifted upif lifted up with mine arms i can
then such will i with tender touch
and strong arms embracing truth too

if kiss away tribulations i’m allowed
then gather i such troubles within
attend to them to tend away drifting

if plow and planting the garden flowering
such would be blooms arranged unequaled
of colour texture and scent in moment vases

such a garden i plant to tend is as if water
in the desert has arrived in my thirsty heart

...beloved awakenedChristopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-39522885556087782962008-05-01T15:07:00.000-07:002008-05-01T15:08:05.547-07:00life as happinessLife is awash with challenges, and dilemma, but is also blessed with many joys and wonders. The thundering beat of oceanic surf, beautiful blue sky, exquisite sunshine, delicate beauty of a flower, laughter of a children and warmth of holding a caressing embrace. Do we need to be caught in the dilemma, or instead let go to allow these wonders to fill our hearts, minds and very core?

Happiness is existent prior to the event of being so, and as such independent of external condition. In this place of refuge we could choose to reside and bask in the eternal sunshine of content and peace. In such a garden, and from this refuge we can smile and open as a blossoming flower to the sunshine of truth; living in the presence of inner peace giving out the scented fragrance to all around us, our family, our friends, and our community. Then it seems the whole world extending out from this our center like ripples on the forest pond. This can change the world. One small smile extending everywhere...and caress to our world of joy and life. World peace and love created from the starting point of individual peace and happiness.

It seems not to me a book has to be read to sense all this of the rich tapestry of life within us and always present all around everywhere eternally. Is it necessary to be schooled on experiencing the beauty of the ocean... dulcet melody of a violin... pure inner luminescent colour of a flower? No I think not, it just comes naturally, arising in the present moment. The true secret of happiness is to be in this attitude of appreciation every moment of our lives. We can make such as natural as a our breathing which requires not a singular conscious thought to occur. And this can happen anywhere you are... here and now. It is so simple, yet profound.Christopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-11723567404759719102008-04-09T06:34:00.000-07:002008-04-09T06:35:09.333-07:00Snow Falling...We are as snowflakes, individualities
falling in our dance within the beautiful blue sky of spirit...
Each singular in appearance of passage,
yet robed in luminous inner white light;
with the merging of all colours
prismed in crystalline perfection.
Drifting slowly down in stillness to the ground of mind,
blanketing the earth the softness of white.
All of us intermingled... indivisible as One.Christopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-63747834402692342212008-04-01T19:37:00.001-07:002008-04-01T19:38:33.495-07:00Of Many OneAs a child, I would lie on my back in a summers night meadow, in firefly warm darkness. Gazing upward to the vaulted velvet midnight stars in sparkling clarity, like so many jewels in the sky, I would be entranced, enraptured in wonder and see the mind of Creation... the mind of God. Experience the sight of our own galaxy, etched across the dome of a night sky seen at 14,000 feet, and such is so very evident... and extraordinarily exquisite.

At six, I had no name in my mind for what I perceived, that which resonated in my heart and imagination. A decade would pass before any written rules of religion were learned. By that time in my life I had forgotten the wonder only to have another decade pass until the re awakening of remembering. But at six, still I recognized and connected within to a world much more encompassing than the everyday apparent.

I would converse with the moon, her gifting light cloaking the night with silver lace... Sister would ask what I was doing with the chastisement of how could I expect the moon to listen, much less answer... but the Goddess of night spoke back to me... and her poetry resonates still with clarity in my heart.

From the tip of any finger, the physical universe extends in infinite direction both inward to the molecular and outward in grand spacial dimensions, stars, and galaxies beyond counting... Receding away at red shift from the first blooming of creation 15 billion years ago... This exhalation breath of the One Divine Life, transformed into a myriad of stars and worlds indeed even the endless dimensions of the Multiverse.

From those distant edges unseen at the reaches of the visible, spiraling down to infinitesimally small at the quantum level, the building clay of form, identical particles binding together with the energy of creation in combinations and mutable vibration. These atoms and elements forged in the furnace hearts of stars, in elliptical orbit around the molecular center .

So similar are these, excepting scale, to our own solar planetary system... Worlds named for the gods and the mythic, almost in identical orbiting... Bound by the gravity, yet not in bondage in an ecliptic celestial symphony around a center, a delineation of our own star ...from which all warmth and light caresses this earth, an essential ingredient in the embracing abundance of life.

This is so perfect in complexity to my scientific intellectual mind, so as not to be random, or born from chaos... but instead an order of absolute delicate precision scripted by divine mind. So simple to my intuitive mind to be a melody... a single note of one perfect whole...

To Earth our mother our home warmed and watered to aliveness, amidst all the vastness of universe, the perfect stillness in the absolute zero of space... A temperate blue green world clothed in ocean, wearing her gossamer veil of atmosphere, abloom with life in every single possible everywhere, from the frozen permafrost to volcanic undersea vents in darkness and pressure... Still Life springs forth on Gaea, and all this is profoundly thoroughly interconnected, everything, iterare as one.

To all of us, each residing in the vessel of human form, all waves of actualization and intention, united in divinity. Each with perceived individuality, all with our freedom of choice ...live in a past which is gone, or a future which never arrives, or simple be... Truly paying gracious attention to this precious wonderful moment ... and drinking from the well of life... the holy water of our conscious presence.

Individual we are as snowflakes, falling in our dance within the beautiful blue sky of spirit...
Each singular in appearance of passage, yet robed in pure white.
With the merging of all colours prismed in crystalline perfection.
Drifting slowly down in stillness to the ground of mind , blanketing the earth in white.
All of us intermingled... indivisible as one.

Are there distinctions.?
Heaven or earth, darkness or light, sorrow or joy, ocean or sky, galaxies or atoms,or the multitude of goddesses and gods heros exemplars, avatars, names of the divine gathered in our mythology and genetic memory backward into this mists of time?

Perhaps instead beyond the interare of the many... singularity.
Lover intertwined with beloved.
Spirit in waltz with divine.
Incessantly present.
Eternally one.Christopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-35537819303720985192008-03-07T14:09:00.000-08:002008-03-07T14:11:25.434-08:00What is Love? Such as it is always available within, but why do we seek to quantify such with the need to seek and see such in the eyes of another. It is such an intense longing within my heart at times a longing I cannot forget a feeling so fierce and confused. Then again I am at rest at peace accepting of the manner of being as it is. I read the words we are beloved of God...feel such on an intellectual level...but not with the intensity that I felt for an individual when the poem above was written...yet even though such indicates the singularity of a being ...it also to me evokes a beloved more expansive than just such. Fierce yes and confused also..yet so familiar.Christopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-38490398893944244712008-02-15T10:11:00.000-08:002008-02-15T10:12:06.899-08:00Silence is Wisdom“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.

“He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words.”
Elbert Hubbard (Editor, publisher and writer, 1856-1915)

“One of the lessons of history is that nothing is often a good thing to do and always a clever thing to say.”
Will Durant: (Philosopher, historian and writer 1885–1981)

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.” Mark TwainChristopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951549740963781612.post-73227930548182834452008-01-16T20:20:00.000-08:002008-01-16T20:22:20.987-08:00there is neither heaven nor earth...
only snow falling...
incessently.

~HASHIN
Christopherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01303763201541760705noreply@blogger.com0
